BS Coupling Fire Hydrant
BS Coupling Fire Hydrant

Spécifications
1.Ground hydrants, usually ground fire hydrants, are fire water supply devices installed on the ground.
2.Mainly used to provide a quick water source in case of fire, so that fire brigades or related personnel can connect water hoses to extinguish fires.
3.It is an important part of urban fire protection infrastructure.
Appearance And Structure
1.Main material: cast iron or cast steel, with anti-rust paint (usually eye-catching red) on the surface.
2.Components:
Water outlet: multiple standard interfaces (common 65mm), equipped with protective covers.
Valve stem: top operating rod, which is turned on/off by a special wrench.
Drain: prevent freezing and cracking in winter.
3.Flange base: connected to the underground water supply network and fixed to the concrete base
Type Classification
1.By function: ordinary type, pressure reducing type (for high-pressure pipe network).
2.By regional standard: domestically, GB 4452-2011 "Outdoor fire hydrant" standard is usually followed; internationally, there are different interface specifications (such as American standard, European standard).
Installation Specifications
1.Location: Along roads, communities and other public places, with a spacing of ≤120 meters, ≥5 meters from buildings, and easy to reach.
2.Pressure requirements: The water supply network needs to maintain a working pressure of 0.1-0.5MPa to ensure sufficient water output.
Use And Maintenance
1.Operation steps: Open the interface cover → Connect the water hose → Use a wrench to open the valve stem counterclockwise.
2.Notes: It is strictly forbidden to use it in non-emergency situations; drainage and anti-freezing are required in winter.
3.Regular inspection: Test the flexibility of the valve every month, clear surrounding obstacles, and ensure clear markings.
Differences From Underground Plugs
1.Underground plugs need to be covered by manhole covers, and the operation is slightly more complicated;
2.Above-ground plugs are easier to identify and operate, suitable for cold areas to reduce the risk of freezing.
Pression de service
Pression de service maximale 16 bar (230psi)
